"It is GOOD to feel good."
A couple of weeks ago I was reviewing some of the Abraham-Hicks introductory audios looking for "words of wisdom" and introductory material to pass along to a friend and this phrase, "It is good to feel good" really stuck out to me. So, since then, I've been working with this idea: "There is nothing more important than I feel good."
As is typical when I'm working on specific affirmations, I put them into the computer and make little poster-reminders to put up everywhere. While I was looking for a picture to add to it, I came across this one of DC lounging by the steps to our back deck. Cats are especially good reminders of the "feel good" concept. They spend their lives loving who they are and feeling good about it.
Enjoy the rest of the issue!

P.S. As you are reading this, I am up in the North Georgia mountains "feeling good" and half-way through a week-long intensive Intuition Development course. Will tell you more about it when I return home :)

How to Feel Good When You're Feeling Lousy
If you're feeling depressed or sad, you're not going to be able to move to feeling joyful in the next second. However, you can move up the emotional ladder one step or one better-feeling emotion at a time. (see Emotional Guidance Scale in sidebar)
You begin by examining your thoughts. As you think a thought, what is the feeling underneath it? Then search for a better feeling thought. Think that and determine how it "feels." Then reach for an even better feeling-thought and see the feeling underneath..... and continue.
The main thing here is that you are constantly reaching for "more relief" to find the best-feeling thought that you can.
Here is an example from Esther and Jerry Hicks' book, Ask and It Is Given:
- Rage gives you a feeling of relief from depression, grief, despair, fear, guilt, or powerlessness.
- Revenge gives you a feeling of relief from rage.
- Anger gives you a feeling of relief from revenge.
- Blame gives you a feeling of relief from anger.
- Overwhelment gives you a feeling of relief from blame.
- Irritation gives you a feeling of relief from overwhelment.
- Pessimism gives you a feeling of relief from irritation.
- Hopefulness gives you a feeling of relief from pessimism.
- Optimism gives you a feeling of relief from hopefulness.
- Positive Expectation gives you a feeling of relief from optimism.
- Joy gives you a feeling of relief from positive expectation.
To understand the things that are happening in your life, it's necessary to pay attention to how you are feeling about it. And as you make the decision to continually reach for an improved emotion and the relief it brings, you will, in the words of Esther and Jerry Hicks, "find yourself feeling good most of the time, and allowing into your experience all the things you desire."
I've had personal experience with finding better feeling-thoughts and keeping myself in that positive expectancy place over the past week as I have waited for the "approved" decision on financing for my new "Adventure." .... and as I am typing this on Friday, July 31, I am feeling much "joy" in knowing that I am going to pick up my check this afternoon! :)

SOUL SONG STRATEGY
In biblical times, David played his harp to alleviate King Saul's depression. In 12th century Europe, Abbess Hildegard von Bingen used melody to treat all sorts of problems. Today, research has shown that music affects the biochemicals in the body - specifically raising immunoglobulin A (IgA) levels.
Multiple experiments conducted by Dr. Carl J. Charnetski showed that the main requirement to the music increasing IgA as well as a person's feel-good levels was that the person LIKE the music.*
Perhaps one day when you go to the doctor, they will say, "Take 2 Tunes and call me in the morning!" :)
Watch/listen to this video for a little happy meds.... It proves that you can use just about anything to create music!
